Grand Prize Winner
Megan from Tempe, Arizona
“Back in My Arms Again”
Hear the song!

Megan married her husband Chris on June 2, 2007. Just one month later, Chris was deployed with the Army overseas—and they are still unsure when he’ll be back home. “It was very hard, especially being newly married,” she says. “But we have such a strong foundation of faith and love for one another that our relationship has grown stronger each day of our separation.” Megan and Chris eagerly await the day they are together again. Until then, they are communicating and expressing love as best they can from thousands of miles apart. When Chris returns from overseas, he and Megan will enjoy a weekend getaway to a Gary Chapman “A Growing Marriage” seminar, a gift certificate from Moody Publishers, and the new album by Dove award winning artist Nicol Sponberg.

Lyrics for “Back in My Arms Again

I never knew that your heart could really be in pain
I never knew what it felt like to be hit with the rain
I never understood exactly what heartache really meant
Until I had to live my life without you the way that you left

I never thought being strong could be so hard
I never thought that a year could seem so long
But if this is the price I must pay to have a man like you
Than I’ll take the challenge willingly and to our love be true

Chorus:
And I know this time apart
Will make our love grow stronger
And with faith we’ll make it through these days
Till you’re back in my arms for good

I never dreamed I could miss someone so much
I always dream about the way it used to feel when we’d touch
Now I’m anxiously awaiting the day you’re back to me for good
So we can live our lives together baby the way that we should

Bridge:
My prayer to God is this
That He guard you with His mighty hand
May He be your shelter through the rain
And bring you safely home again

I’m lucky that I have so much to look forward to
When you get back, there’s so many things I’m excited to do
We’ll start our little family by the grace of God above
And we’ll get to spend each day together in mercy and in love
